Ha. Will is on a never ending quest to convince the world the 9mm (from a glock) is the ideal deer hunting, woods protection and frying pan killing cartridge. And I can assure you I don't mess with cars! I hold the flashlight and have the old man fix them!
SIG P239
The Sig Sauer P228 is a semi-automatic 9mm sub-compact pistol carried by SEAL Team Six (DEVGRU) operators. It is available in double action only (DAO) or double/single action (DA/SA) configurations. Standard magazine capacity is 8 with the option of using extended 10 round magazines...
The gunmaker tested the MK23’s recoil system with over 30k rounds of +P ammunition followed by 6k high pressure proof rounds. After disassembling the gun the Germans found no damage or excessive wear to any of the components.
And then they did some more tests . . .
The ballistic boffins froze...
I'm not saying the Glock is not the most reliable, I'm aying it might not be. I have not seen the test data. Also this:
The HK Mk 23 was a pistol developed specifically for the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and was officially adopted in 1996. The Mk 23 was chosen for supreme accuracy...
You think Mek was there doing the testing? Or has access to the data none of us has? How does he know they passed with flying colors and others didn't? I never said they posted results. They don't have to. I watched a video you posted showing Glocks fail. Just because many countries use a...
You forgot to mention the other pistols seals carry. Sig 220's, sig 226's 1911's Beretta's none ect. ect. ect. Going from the torture test videos we have seen only one passed. It was not a glock or a sig.
Where are you seeing a glock pass the over the beach tests with flying colors? The links here have not shown that. Glocks are plenty reliable but I'm not seeing them pass these tests.

So are these tests. It's plenty reliable but it might not work after having rocksalt, mud, cinnamon, tartar sauce and sand put in it. Only one will pass that test. There can be only one and I guess it's a sig clone made in eastern Europe (I think).
Assuming it's also been proven capable of 10's of thousands of rounds down range without a parts breakage. I also like long term tests. That zero 1 could be a pos after a few thousand shot. I doubt it though.
Because the tests are a sample of one and they are totally overdone. That gauntlet will never happen in the real world. I hope we find one that passes eventually. I hope it's the ugliest gun with the worst ergos ever haha
One would think they don't have control over a permit. They sure do here. One word to the judge from a supervisor and they yank the permit. You can see a couple of court offices walking around with empty holsters at any time around here. It's pretty embarrassing. They send someone to the house...
"When the Office of Ct Adm took over the courts up north, the courts were manned with local pd's and sheriffs"
Not to nit pick but this is not 100% accurate. The courts here were not manned with local PD's or deputies. The officers in some counties were manned by county security (Broome for...
Right..... I think you were wrong again! Wrong like that time you had a white AR made. The badge is not a permit like you kept saying. Joking aside that explanation is what I thought happened when I said carrying on a badge. It just explained the forms filed ect. I didn't know the form names or...
Just talked to two court officers up here. They said they have permits and were actually told if they want to carry to get the restrictions taken off the permits. They don't want people carrying on their badge here. These guys were also grandfathered in from the county (county security had...
Incorrect (upstate anyway). Court officers have permits and can have pistols on them that are not used for employment. I shoot with a bunch of them. They all have their work G19 on a permit. I know a couple that had their duty guns taken away after getting in trouble (later returned) they also...
NYS court officers have to get a permit and can't put a gun on a badge. Yet they can only carry a G26 off duty with the NY2 trigger. Funny how different dept's handle things.
Anyone who says LEO's (active and retired) across the country (and even more so in NY) don't get special 2a rights has no leg to stand on. They are arguing just for the sake of arguing. Saying they have normal rights when the other 99.9% of the population have restricted rights is laughable. If...
For the 1000th. You are a citizen! You are lumping NYPD in with other Dept.s I think. Many cops had permits before they went through the 6 month training. Some depts allow officers to keep the permit and put guns on it even after they are employed. Not sure how the NYPD handles it. Can you put...
