Be very careful dealing with this association; their leader Aaron Dorr has some pretty sketchy history in several other States....Internet search his name and firearms associations.
Pretty sure their erasableAnd her eyebrows get waxed and pulled off, s l o w l y...
We visited Franklin and the Asheville area in NC a few months ago and decided we loved the area - but real estate down there is abysmal. No inventory, skyrocketing prices, and crap locations. Franklin is mostly depressed, and Asheville is convinced if it's own mystique - so we've decided that the area north of Greenville is worthwhile to look in - from Travelers Rest east to Landrum ideally. Closer to the mountains... We're several years away too - huge re-budgeting done to pay off ALL debts, and give the economy / interest rates a chance to rebound from the 1970's. Of course, if Shits-his-pants or his successor stay in office, there will never be a good time.I plan on going back home to South Carolina in a couple of years from now. Pennsylvania is something that I could do right now because it keeps my wife somewhat close to her family. But I want to get completely away from the liberal North East. So that's what I'm aiming toward.
Just sayin'

Until that’s not allowed.NY has created conditions that encourage people to hoard and store ammo. They finally did something right.
They will just ban ownership lead ammo to save the children ...Until that’s not allowed.
Don’t joke about it because we’re not far away. They will just ban ownership lead ammo to save the children ...

Found out that Walmart employees are still required to submit the 4473 to the Feds after they receive the "proceed" authorization from the state when selling a gun.
I thought all contact between NY FFLs (even the pseudo-FFL Walmart uses) and NICS was supposed to be severed?
A 4473 has to be filled out by the buyer, and completed by the FFL and NICS center: that information is relayed through the State's system (I refuse to refer to it as the NYSP because they are not actually doing the work, it's contracted). The 4473's are retained by the FFL until such time as they are no longer FFL's.Found out that Walmart employees are still required to submit the 4473 to the Feds after they receive the "proceed" authorization from the state when selling a gun.

SO THIS is why the state had to recreate the wheel to keep us hopping...then cant use the Fed system for their illegal ammo checks!!!!... Not sure how Ammo sales are handled by the state as it is illegal to use the federal NICS system for anything other than a firearm or serialized part.
I have been on a delay for over a week now on a firearm purchase. I have went through probably 100 NICS checks in my life, never been delayed or "pending review" for more than a few hours. Now all of a sudden the lazy bastards running the background system leave people delayed. In some cases over 30 days so they have to repeat the process and pay them another $9. No f*cking accountability whatsoever. Just sit back and wait while they delay your Constitutional right.
I feel ya Brother; for me it was Florida...Sold my House there because even there it's being turned on its head from all the refugees from New England and the Carribean.I was born and raised in rural South Carolina. My entire family is still in South Carolina and I communicate with them often. Therefore, I know exactly what I'm missing out on...
I mean I had a good reason to move from South Carolina to New Yo, ah fuck it...
I fucking fucked up and I fucked up big time.

Did you vote harder? I hear people say that is all we need to do.I have been on a delay for over a week now on a firearm purchase. That's awful, hopefully, you do not have to wait much longer.I have been on a delay for over a week now on a firearm purchase. Been there done that. Gosh is it so refreshing to see that.I’m a few states away on vacation. Stopped into a gun shop today. They had pistols just sitting out that customers can lick up and handle without anyone batting an eye! AR pistols, SBRs, NFA items, and ammo stocked so deep that I git mesmerized by cases and cases of calibers I’ve never seen before! Holy ‘Murrica! I felt giddy, jealous, excited and dirty all at the same time. I heart NY. Don’t you heart it, too?
The Fed.So my question is if the NY comes back clean, but the Federal comes back negative, who wins? (Doubt the law abiding citizen...)
Except it isn't. They are submitting it to the Feds themselves.A 4473 has to be filled out by the buyer, and completed by the FFL and NICS center: that information is relayed through the State's system
I’m not surprised. I knew this would happen with all this crap. It’s a lot of work to be denied. I’m not saying I support it but I can understand it.On another note:
What should be the procedure for selling a gun nowadays?
My source has reported that people are coming in complaining of a store south of Alexander who requires customers pay the full price of a gun before the background check, and if the check is denied they only refund part of the price and claim the rest is a "restocking fee".
That's just not good behavior.
When a transaction is denied, which is very infrequent, the FFL has already spent a lot of time trying to sell the item. Is their time worth anything and would you work for nothing? A delay is another story as you just have to wait for a definitive answer. I've personally seen, not someone telling me, people that have tried to see if they could pass the background check knowing full well that they will get denied. In my estimation that is just not good behavior. On another note:
