Yes the numbers are so low in fact they are not protected under "common use" but their are so many its a public safety risk. I'm done with hypocrisy and support no law based on it.

Too bad the rich hunting and firearm tradition we've enjoyed for century's has gotten totally turned upside down by a bunch of wackos who wanna do magazine dumps and play army man in just two quick decades..

Troll or not Diesel Tech opinion is probably more common then you want to think .. I think there is a huge division among gun owners and that is the reason why our rights have gone to shit.
I'd say most here belong to a group that most would classify as gun nuts. Its our number one hobby, I'd bet most here have several dozen guns in there collection, some here just collect, some are heavily active in range tournaments, club shoot regularly, weekend gun smiths, hunters and are highly political on the 2nd Amendment.
I think the larger group of gun owners are those that just have the few guns they need to hunt with. The weapons only come out of the closet in the fall. Most of my friends fall in this category. They don't support any clubs or gun right associations. They will piss and moan about losing gun rights but do nothing to advance the cause. I have friends that will not consider getting a carry license because they wont give up there personal information and think somehow the gov't will know nothing about them if they stay fingerprint free..
I think another large group of gun owners are those that just have one or two guns stuck in there closet that just collect dust. They were most likely free hand me downs. Most of these people are just as gun dumb just like Democrats. Their guns may be used on a rare occasion and they just keep them around to say they have a gun. I work for people like this often and find their rifles in a corner closet or by the back door for squirrels or intruders. Most of these people have no consideration in the 2nd during voting time.
So when we keep hearing the big numbers of gun owners keep in mind its what group they join. What they DON'T DO for the 2nd Amendment rights.

My good Fudd friend is this to a T. Doesnt impact his deer hunting, not interested. I sent him the proposed mental health bill and now he's a little more interested. In the end, he'll most likely wait until it's too late.
