I was in a really foul mood last evening.
Every media on the net was crowing how wonderful the NO KINGS events were, with "massive" turnouts.
And dismissing the Army's 250th Birthday / Flag Day Parade.
Sad. Then I ran out of Rum. Extra sad.
But today, I see many of my expectations were true.
There was considerable violence, rioting.
And the DC Military Parade looked really magnificent. A once in a lifetime event.
So I'm better, and off to the store for more Rum

They played some protest footage on the news from Buffalo around me and it seemed like a good crowd and many ages. Many younger people in their 20’s and 30’s. Seemed to be at least a few hundred and that’s what the news reported.
Apparently a guy I was friends with in high school has gone off the deep end going to these protests and has been arrested many times. He’s the type you would expect. Never applied himself, quit jobs when inconvenient and been on assistance for years. We all paid to make it house nice and warm with new insulation, windows, and doors. The wife called me one day when I was picking up my kid and asked me something about fixing the door. It was the new door we just paid for and she didn’t like it. She had some stupid crazy idea about cutting out the window or something. I almost said to her you’re offending me telling me you don’t like the gift I bought you but wasn’t worth it. Just told her it couldn’t be done. She was nice and worked way harder than him.
