These countries have been charging us extraordinary tariffs forever. Last year I had to order a suit from a company in Scotland for my sons wedding. The suit was $759. the customs duty was $279. Trump is merely working to level the playing field.... and its working. Many of these countries are looking to re-negotiate these trade deals. Will it bring manufacturing back here? Doubt it will do much for that but we will pay less for the crap we import.

They can TRY and pass on tarriff's off to the consumer. The Consumer is the boss as to whether they buy it or go elsewhere.

All China has to do is open their market to our products and remove the tariffs and our tariffs will go away as well.

More expensive trinkets in the short term is a small price to pay.

There are a few strategic products that we need go bring back onshore.

It's fine to rely on China for cheap crap, but we need to be able to supply all our own pharmaceuticals for instance. Even if they cost more.

I'm not in disagreement. But this was not thought out well on the part of this administration on how they went about doing this, and how to mitigate this as much as possible for the American consumer.

It wasn't like they planned out where production was going to go when there wasn't a supply from China. Instead, they are just sucking up the tariff money, at the expensive of middle class people paying more for the same products. It's not they're turning around and pumping that collected tariff money back into people feeling the pain. They're just indirectly taxing us more right now.

And the more pain consumers feel, they less they spend. And the less they spend, without any help, the more the economy is going to fucking tank.

The problem is that there is a trillion dollar deficit to overcome before they can funnel any of it back.

When you're putting a trillion dollars a year on your credit card you don't see any day to day benefit when you just knock that down to 750 billion.

We have dug ourselves a very deep hole. People who expect instant gratification from financial responsibility are in for a disappointment.

Fair point but if they are being rounded up and removed would some of them take the $1,000? I’m guessing not many will because going back home isn’t a viable option or they would not have worked so hard to get here in the first place.

President Trump is being backed into a corner by the Communists and their enablers.

He needs to temporarily suspend Habeas Corpus, so as to deport very last Foreign National. Just as the Biden Regime held the January 6th patriots without charges or access to a lawyer.

And then follow President Lincoln's lead in shutting down the media and the opposition until the Communists are sufficiently weakened.

We have too much to lose.

And ... has anyone been paying attention to the arrest and incarceration of Jan 6 peaceful protestors? To the railroading of Derek Chauvin? To the dismissal of Student Loans? To Voter Fraud? To the destruction of our energy infrastructure? To surgical mutilation of children's sexual organs? To the FBI atrocities?

But it's more than that.

Without major reconstruction the USA will soon be a Third World country at best. Or conquered by China at worst.

So, the question is how many do you *need* to get ?

They claim somewhere in the 133,000 range have been deported since Jan. I know that rate cant be maintained but its a good start. They also say Obuma sent 5 mil packing, and he wasnt even trying like Trump is, I think its fair to hope for 8-10 mil by the time he's done. Trouble will be keeping a dem out of POTUS, they will just let them all back in..... and more.
