I’m down with Nikon. I don’t use them much any more but they were my go to scope for hunting rifles. I still have a couple. There are some good deals on Nikon scope online last I looked.

Both of the scopes mentioned above should be easy to find locally. Check them out and compare. I generally don’t consider leupold but I hear their quality has gone up in recent years. I believe the crossfire II has the vip warranty which is nice but it does no good if u need to keep sending it back.

My dad has one in 308. Shoots good but the trigger is horrible, I think it was a 7lbs pull. I replaced his trigger spring last fall but we got busy and never shot it. After the trigger spring replacement, I think it was down to 3-4 lbs. The trigger is holding this rifle back

Every field I drive by I think should be a gun range. There are some pretty big open fields up north. I use a 308 for hunting, I also have a 6.5cm in the stable for hunting. Wish I could shoot over the muck fields in my area.
