My buddy that owns the serbu says it’s like shooting a 20 ga. It is very manageable. His rifle does have some heft to it. I’d like a 50 bmg but I just can’t justify it.
I shot a serbu bfg-50 and it wasn’t bad at all. You need to have a good brake on a 50 bmg. I’d get the desert tech hti (bolt action) in a heart beat if I had the money.
I ditched my heavy rifles for predator hunting in winter time, switched to a savage model 10 223 with a sporter barrel. Just easier to carry around. My lr308 was pretty heavy, I never considered hunting with it.
